The organizational history of Wuyang Town

Wuyang was called Qingposi during the Ming Dynasty, and was called Wuyang in the late Qing Dynasty.

During the Republic of China, it belonged to Li Xiqiao District.

In the early days of liberation, it belonged to the third district. In 1955, it was changed to Wuyang District. In 1956, the district was removed and merged with the township to build Wuyang Township. In 1958, it was transformed into a commune and Wuyang People's Commune was built. In 1961, the system was adjusted and divided into two communes: Tongmu and Datian. In 1966, it was merged into Wuyang Commune. In 1984, it was reorganized into a town and became Wuyang Town. Most of the residents in the territory are Han, Miao, Dong, etc., and most of them have the surnames of Huang, Zhou, Xiao, and Li.

On March 10, 2013, more than 8,000 Qianlong blue bricks were found at Wu Bingxi’s house in Tongmu Village, Wuyang Town, Suining, all of which were still well preserved.
