Where is Brooklyn?
Brooklyn is located in the northeastern United States, southeast of Manhattan Island, New York. It is the most populous of New York's five boroughs. If this area were a city, it would also be the fourth largest in the United States. Initially, there were only six small Dutch immigrant villages in Brooklyn, built along the East River and known as Little Holland. In 1664, it became part of New York. In 1998, it was officially listed in New York and became one of the five major districts. Formerly known as Brucklen, Netherlands. The name predates the Dutch city of the same name, Bugen.
