Changting is a small village with less than 100 people. From the semantic point of view, Ting is a flat land near the water, and Ting line is a linear trace of seawater eroding the coastline, which shows that Changting must be near the river and near the water. During the Liao Dynasty, the Caohe River in Xiao Taihou once flowed in a north-south direction. In the Ming Dynasty, Shandong immigrants settled here and built a village on the east bank of Caoyun, named Changting. Changting Village had its heyday in history, and it was called "Changting Shili", which shows that the water transport project in Xiao Taihou is huge. Due to historical changes and topographical changes, the "Shili Pavilion" no longer exists and there is no way to verify it. It is said that Tingzi Village is mostly a main street in the north-south direction and a box-shaped building in the east-west direction. In the 1980s, Changting people broke the old pattern and gradually moved into the new village, which has formed a scale.

There are many tourist attractions near Changting Village, such as Bao Jing Hot Spring Farm, Dijing Hot Spring Resort, Baodi Huang Zhuang Wa Natural Scenic Area, Baodi Martyrs Cemetery, Qinglong Bay Sand-fixing Forest Nature Reserve, etc. There are also Baodi garlic, Baodi yellow loach, Chaobai River crucian carp, Huang Zhuang rice, Dagang winter jujube and other specialties.
