Shannan City is a city in Tibet.

Located between 9014 and 94 22 east longitude and 27 08 to 29 47 north latitude, it is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River south of Gangdise Mountain and Nyainqentanglha Mountain on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, bordering Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, in the north, Shigatse City in the west, Linzhi City in the east and India and Bhutan in the south, with an area of about 79,090 square kilometers.
