Agriculture has formed a leading agricultural industry dominated by 9 180 mu of famous tea, and characteristic industries such as vegetables, dried fruits, edible fungi, poultry and turtles have flourished; With the rapid development of industrial economy, 2400 mu of industrial blocks are planned in advance, and Songyang tea industry processing base and bamboo and wood products industrial zone are built based on local resources; At the same time, actively develop green tourism projects such as Maoshan Provincial Forest Park in the northeast suburb of the town. As a pilot town for comprehensive reform of small towns in the province, in recent years, the construction of market towns has been actively promoted, the functions of cities and towns have become increasingly perfect, and public facilities have become increasingly complete.

The ancient town was selected as a national key town.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and other seven ministries jointly issued a document (Jiancun [20 14] 107), announcing that 3,675 towns in China have been listed as national key towns, and ancient towns are famous on the list.

National key towns are the focus and leader of the construction and development of small towns. Seven ministries and commissions require local authorities to support the construction and development of national key towns in terms of policies, land and project arrangements in accordance with the requirements of improving quality, saving land and embodying characteristics.

Nine towns in our city were selected as national key towns this time. Gushi Town is the only national key town selected in our county this time.

The ancient town was selected as a provincial-level historical and cultural town.

In recent years, following the principles of scientific planning and strict protection, all parts of Zhejiang Province have compiled protection plans for famous historical and cultural towns in time and submitted them for approval according to law. In terms of strengthening the protection and management of famous historical and cultural towns, all localities pay special attention to cultural excavation, improvement of people's livelihood and characterization, pay attention to protecting the traditional pattern, historical features, distinctive texture and spatial scale of famous historical and cultural towns, continue to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture with regional characteristics, make it have more obvious Zhejiang characteristics and Zhejiang style, and embark on a Zhejiang road of planning, management and protection of famous historical and cultural towns.

The relevant person in charge of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Zhejiang Province said that in the process of planning and construction, the famous historical and cultural towns in this province paid special attention to carefully planning the construction of "two beauties" in Zhejiang and the layout of new urbanization. For example, Meicheng Town has formed a complete pattern of small cities through the reorganization and scientific planning of the ancient city of Yanzhou; In the protection and development of ancient towns, Chongfu Town regards the preparation of planning as the top priority in the early stage of protection and development of ancient towns.

Scenic spots/tourist attractions

Maoshan Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Gushi Town 1km. The area is about 3 square kilometers, and the highest peak is 43 1.8 meters above sea level. Maoshan Mountain is gentle, beautiful, loose and rugged with strange stone scales. This used to be the practice place of Taoist Ye Fashan. Ye Fashan (6 16-720), a native of Songyang, was a famous Taoist in the Tang Dynasty, studying the essence of Taoism and alchemy. After 50 years in Gaozong, Zetian and Zhongzong, people who traveled to and from famous mountains should often be summoned to the palace and be honored as distinguished guests. Of the two major religions, Taoism and Buddhism, their prestige and Taoism have never lost their respect. In the second year of his birth (7 13), he worshipped the red tassel and became the King of Yue. Fashan was unmoved by the dignity of his title and remained a Taoist priest. In the eighth year of Kaiyuan (720), he died of old age in Jinglongguan, Chang 'an. In twenty-seven years, Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, wrote "Inscription of Ye Zunshi" to mourn Fa Shan. At the top of Maoshan Mountain, there are Tian Tong Palace, Dianyi Pavilion and Xiazi Pavilion. Has been abandoned for a long time. On the mountainside, there are still monuments such as Youdao Courtyard, Jian Gong Temple and Baihe Cave. Jian Gong Temple was built by descendants of Ye surname in Songyang in memory of ancestor Ye Jian. Next to the source of the 17th Sunye Fashan Road in Ye Jian, there are Shi Tian Canal and bathing pool. The spring water is clear, the water quality is sweet, it is warm in winter and cool in summer, and it will not dry up all year round.

During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, Zhejiang Hu Xiang Normal School and private Gong Jianzhong School were both located here. Dongjiaolong Village at the foot of the mountain was built in Lai's Ancestral Hall in Songyang County during the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, and it has been well preserved so far. During the period of 1993, the Lai clan association in Taichung City, Taiwan Province Province came here to seek roots and worship ancestors.
