? Guangxu version of the spectrum book left us with endless imagination, and those broken pages and words were full of temptation, silently telling the story of the rise and fall of a family. This genealogy was compiled by Yao and Guang Changong, famous and knowledgeable people in the family, representing the highest level of social sages at that time, especially the lines in small letters, which can be called copybooks.

? Genealogy also reveals very important information. The last sentence of the Sixteen Generations Movement continues the Origin of Taiyuan, which accurately records that Chongqing Dazhuang Wang belongs to Shanxi Sanhuaitang Taiyuan Wang, and Jiangxi Luling Taiyuan Wang is one of the four branches of Taiyuan Wang moving south to Jiangxi, which means that Chongqing Dazhuang Wang should be Luling Taiyuan Wang. The first page of Incomplete Genealogy records in detail that the Duke of Chao, the fifth ancestor, was an official in Chuxiong and Lin 'an (Yunnan place name) States. Literally, he was an official in charge of ordnance money and grain in Chuxiong Prefecture, and later he was promoted to the magistrate of Lin 'an Prefecture, which proved the family background of Ting Lian Gong.

? The Guangxu edition of the book left a permanent regret and was not completely handed down. Imagine that this genealogy book must have a perfect preface, which contains detailed information about the ancestors, migration routes and branches of the first to fourth generations. I have a good wish. There must have been more than one book at that time. Maybe one day, we will find another one from a pile of old paper for us to see.

? I am familiar with the genealogy book of 1995. Editors visited my home, and my father personally participated in the investigation of many epitaphs. The people in the editorial team went through hardships and collected valuable first-hand information. However, due to historical reasons and the limitations of editors' personal understanding, when writing genealogy, they failed to make a detailed investigation and description of the origin of the family, and did not record the descendants at that time in genealogy (for fear of the influence of class struggle). When compiling genealogy, there was another disagreement between Fengjie and Yunyang in the editorial group, which eventually led to Fengjie and Yunyang carving a genealogy.

? In 2006, the electronic genealogy was compiled by Yunyang people such as Wang Zhiguo, Wang Jiaxian and Wang Huaiqing. I have read this version of the genealogy 10 many times. The genealogy records the missing ancestors of the first two generations, collects and sorts out family stories, records the compilation process of the genealogy of 1995 in detail, and continues the narrative. Unfortunately, this edition of the genealogy book still has many shortcomings. There is no reasonable statement about the origin and place of residence of the family. There is no historical data to support the records of the ancestor and the second ancestor. The interpretation of the epitaph of Grandma Liu listed in Longquan Village, Tuxiang Town, fengjie county is also inaccurate.

? Before looking at the family background, let's take a look at the history of "Huguang into Sichuan". According to Hubei Tongzhi, since the late Tang Dynasty, due to the epidemic of plague, Xiaogan area in Macheng, Hubei Province was sparsely populated, and many Jiangxi people near Hubei moved to Macheng and Xiaogan to settle down, engaged in agricultural and handicraft production, and settled down and multiplied. There have been two popular sayings in Hubei: "Jiangxi fills Huguang" and "Huguang fills Sichuan". In the Yuan Dynasty, "Huguang" in history refers to Huguang provinces, including Hunan, Hubei, Guangxi, Hainan, most of Guizhou, a part of Sichuan and Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong. In Ming and Qing dynasties, Huguang only ruled Hubei and Hunan, but it still used the name of Huguang. Dao Daogong, the ancestor of the Wang family in Dazhuang, moved from Macheng, Hubei Province to Yuping County, Guizhou Province in the late Ming Dynasty (about AD 1644).

? In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the government organized many Huguang people to emigrate to Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan to develop production. The real large-scale migration of "Huguang into Sichuan" took place in the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty (AD 1662- 1722), and Daoyuan Palace was moved to Yuping, Guizhou. Perhaps it is a large-scale migration organized by the government, or it may be to escape the war, or it may be a business development in a different place, and it is more likely to be an official in a different place and move the family.

? The last two editions of the genealogy book all mentioned the place names of the weir (Shangkan) on the foot washing river in Xiaogan, Macheng, Hubei. This is historical common sense. If it is simply understood as the residence of Daoyuan Palace and Shangyuan, it is a big joke.

? Over the years, many Sichuanese who went to Macheng, Hubei Province to find their ancestors claimed that their ancestral home was "Xiaogan Township, Macheng County, Huangzhou, Huguang". This is because Xiaogan in Macheng, Hubei Province is located in the land and water artery where immigrants are distributed, which is a transit point for immigrants. Some people moved to Sichuan in Xiaogan Township of Macheng, some immigrants moved to Sichuan after a short stay, and some immigrants moved to Sichuan after several generations of settlement. Most of these people claim to be Macheng people.

According to many genealogy books, many branches of genealogy or old population biography say that the ancestors who entered Sichuan came from "Gao Qian Weir and Jiaowashi River in Xiaogan Township, Macheng, Huguang". Footwashing River, actually officially named Jushui River, originated from Macheng at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain, with a total length of 165.7 km. Known as the first river in eastern Hubei, it is one of the main tributaries of the Yangtze River. At that time, many immigrants boarded the ship from Macheng, entered the Yangtze River along the Jushui River, continued westward, and entered Sichuan via the Three Gorges.

? It's hard to leave home, but the road is long, and Xiu Yuan is promising. Before departure, people put their feet into the river and wash them carefully, so that the clear river can wash away dust and bad luck for themselves, bringing peace and good luck, and then put on a pair of new sandals and embark on a long journey. Gradually, washing feet and changing sandals in Jushui River became a ceremony before Sichuan immigrants set off. Over time, according to the homonym, people call this river Foot Wash River, and the street by the river is called Caoxie Street.

? Other immigrants in Sichuan call this river "Queqiao River". People believe that magpies are lucky birds and good news birds. Legend has it that there is an auspicious Cao Rui in the nest built by magpies. When this Cao Rui is put into the water, it will not go downstream, but go upstream. Immigrants to Sichuan just returned to the west along the Yangtze River. According to the homonym, people call Jushui River Queqiao River, which expresses people's strong and beautiful desire to move to Sichuan safely, auspicious and smoothly and open up a new world.

? Judging from this, Dao Yuangong, the ancestor of Wang III in Dazhuang, Chongqing and Shangyuan, migrated from Jiangxi, stayed in Macheng, Hubei for a certain period of time, and moved from Macheng, Hubei to Yuping County, Guizhou in the late Ming Dynasty. And live and work in peace and contentment here, giving birth to his son Wang Guotai. The son has two grandchildren, Wang Chaozhen and Wang Chaozhi. The dynasty was diligent and eager to learn since childhood, and went to Yunnan to join the army as an official. During the reign of Shunzhi and Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, Wang Tinglian, the son of the dynasty, moved from Yuping, Guizhou to Shinan, Hubei. Wang Chaozhen returned to Macheng, Hubei Province from Yuping County, Guizhou Province, perhaps to his farther hometown, and never heard from him again.

? Chao Zhigong was an official in Yunnan, probably during the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. At this time, Yunnan was Wu Sangui's territory, and the San Francisco Rebellion and the imperial court's cutting of Francisco were important historical facts. Chao Zhigong resigned and returned to the field, and moved to Shinan District of Hubei Province with his family. There must be a big reason. He has accumulated a lot of wealth.

? Shinan Prefecture, now Enshi, Hubei Province, is connected with Meihuan Township, fengjie county. Ting Lian entered Sichuan during the reign of Kang Yong and settled in Dazhuang, Meikui Township, fengjie county. In fact, it crossed a river. Maybe when I was doing cloth business on weekdays, I fell in love with Meikui Fujiagou's site. It is said that the two people selling cloth should be Chao Zhigong and Ting Lian Gong and his son.
