Immigrant communities marched in their own national costumes. Israeli communities and Arab communities perform folk dances on the same stage. A pair of singers of Italian descent sang a song: with a passport in one hand and a piece of paper in the other, the address of a fellow villager in Buenos Aires was scrawled on the paper, so my Italian father came to Argentina.
