Anhui drama performance art has a long history, a wide variety, and famous artists come forth in large numbers. Tongcheng school literature: also known as Tongcheng school ancient prose and Tongcheng school prose. Its main representatives, Dai Mingshi, Fang Bao, Liu Dakui and Yao Nai, were all from Tongcheng County (now Tongcheng, Zongyang County and Yixiu District of Anqing City) in the Qing Dynasty, hence the name.

Xin 'an Painting School plays an important role in the history of China painting.

Longcheng Painting School in the early Qing Dynasty, during the Ganjia period when the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou arose, a group of new freehand painters who paid attention to tradition, brushwork and life emerged in Xiaoxian County. They frequently gather in Longcheng (known as Xiaoxian County in ancient times) and are active in the world. The enthusiasm of calligraphy and painting activities in Longcheng is high.

Anhui cuisine is one of the eight major dishes in China. Anhui cuisine includes Anhui cuisine in Huangshan area, Huaiyang cuisine in central Anhui and Huaihe cuisine in northern Anhui.
