It is a rabbit-sized chipmunk, native to the Andes in South America. It is famous for its soft and beautiful fur, and it is on the verge of extinction because of being hunted by humans.

My neighbor totoro is docile, does not bite, likes to live in groups, is good at jumping, is timid and afraid of being disturbed, is used to sleeping during the day and foraging at night, and likes to lie on his back in a cage in the soft sunshine. Usually, men and women get along well with each other and rarely quarrel, and fighting only happens occasionally during the breeding season. When female and male chinchillas mate, they will make a soft "cooing" sound like pigeons.

4. My neighbor totoro likes a dry and cool environment, and the suitable temperature is 2 ~ 30℃, below zero, or above 30℃, which is not suitable for its growth. Too much rain, high humidity and cold wind are bad for the growth and development of chinchillas. Therefore, most chinchillas are kept indoors in a dark environment.

Silk rats like to eat fresh and juicy plants, as well as bark, hay and seeds. Under artificial feeding conditions, hay, grain and green feed, or compound feed are usually fed. The feed intake of adult chinchillas is about 5% ~ 6% of body weight. My neighbor totoro eats like a squirrel. It sits on its hind legs, grabs food with its forelimbs and feeds it into its mouth bit by bit. The life span of chinchillas is generally 15 ~ 20 years, of which 8 ~ 10 years is fertile.

6. The reproductive organs of male chinchillas have no obvious seasonal changes, and they have good sexual desire and mating ability all year round. Totoro can breed all year round, but most of them mate from June 12 to March of the following year, and the mating rate is low in midsummer and autumn (July-June 10). The sexual cycle of female rats is 28 ~ 35 days, and the gestation period is1/kloc-0 ~124 days. They give birth to 2 ~ 3 offspring each year, with 2 ~ 3 offspring being the most. Estrus occurs in postpartum 1 day, which can be matched with blood, and estrus occurs again after weaning1day or so. The age of first estrus varies greatly, from 3 months early to 9 ~ 1 1 month late. Young female rats usually mature sexually at the age of 4 ~ 6 months.

7. The trial planting was successfully carried out in Northeast China, North China, East China and Northwest China 12 provinces and cities.
