SLASH was born on July 23, 1956 in Hampton, London, England, and grew up in Stafford Hill, England. His mother was originally named Saul Hudson. He is a black American and his father is a white British man. Both are artists and work in the entertainment industry. His mother was a costume designer whose clients were mainly entertainment figures. Among them are unforgettable clients like David Bowie. His father mainly provided artistic guidance for recording recordings, and two of his more famous clients were Neil Young and Joni Mitchell.

At the age of eleven, SLASH left his parents in England and moved to Los Angeles alone. Since he was born in England, he could only be regarded as an immigrant in the United States, and he remained single for several years. In the end, the family reunited in Los Angeles, where SLASH went through a difficult transformation, because Southern California was still relatively conservative at the time. With long hair, jeans and a T-shirt, he looked out of place with other children at the time. Outside of school, he leads a bohemian life at home. Influenced by his parents' artist friends, SLASH has become accustomed to the extremes and emotions in the music industry. Joni Mitchell, David Geffen, David Bowie, Ron Wood and Iggy Pop are all frequent guests at the Hudson home. SLASH said that these environments have fully prepared him to be able to easily face the pressure brought about by music and the conflict between business and art.

In the mid-1970s, his parents divorced. SLASH had to move in with his beloved grandmother until he could sort out the situation at home. Around this time, SLASH discovered the BMX team and joined their ranks to ride with passion. It is not surprising that SLASH almost never uses brakes when riding a bicycle, so it is natural that he became a professional BMX rider and won many awards and bonuses.

When he was 15 years old, he started attending middle school. SLASH's grandmother gave him a guitar, and although it only had one string, he was able to practice playing on it. SLASH's early musical influences mainly came from Led Zen, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Neil Young. He credits Aerosmith's record called ROCKS with changing his life. It was a rare opportunity for him to play music with the idols in his life. Sharing the stage with Jeff Beck and Joe Perry in Paris was extremely influential. He also played with guitar king Eric Clapton. SLASH has also played with many other artists, including Lenny Kravitz, Paul Rogers, Iggy Pop, Michael Jackson and Brian May.

Soon he put aside his bicycle and devoted all his energy to practicing guitar for at least 12 hours a day. He often skipped class and sat on the bench practicing guitar all day, so he began to lose track of his homework. Although he had problems studying at school, he was doing better socially. Other kids began to think SLASH's behavior was cool, and now he was no longer a forgotten person in society. SLASH began to join bands composed of other young musicians. In the end, SLASH had to give up school and was expelled in the 11th grade. But another kind of education was waiting for him, and that was the band world in Los Angeles.

He met Steven Adler and formed the band ROAD CREW, who were lacking a singer at the time. Then he met Izzy Stradlin, who sang many W. AXL Rose songs for SLASH. So SLASH went to see AXL's performance and immediately came up with the idea of ??stealing him over, but the two Indians were very good friends.

After that, SLASH found his bass player Duff McKagan, who came to the door based on SLASH's advertisement in the newspaper. All the players came together and changed each other, but the result was Guns N’ Roses! Combined with their innate talent and many tours, the band began to become an internationally renowned group.

However, after the legendary tour, Guns N’ Roses began its destined decline. At this time, SLASH had become a U.S. citizen. Because he believed that the various troubles of immigration and losing his green card were too time-consuming, he simply became a U.S. citizen. At this time, he rarely rested and wanted to form a new band as another way to continue his irreparable GNR career. Later, Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke, Mike Inez, Eric Dover and SLASH formed the Snake Den band and recorded the album - "IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE".

SLASH has never been someone who can't stay home, so he continued to tour with his band. In addition to himself, the members at that time included: Gilby Clarke, Brian Tichy, James Lomenso and Eric Dover. SLASH never mind performing in small venues, he can blend in with the audience very naturally in the club. The album "IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE" began to become famous all over the world, and SLASH said that the Snake Den Band will come back again.

In the summer of 1996, SLASH was invited to perform at a blues concert in Budapest, Hungary. He found a few fellow musical performers and traveled to Europe with him. From the beginning, they were known as the "SLASH'S blues ball" band. Although the band did not record a single album, they were still followed by a large number of sponsors and fans.

At the same time, however, SLASH is arranging the merger of Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses. The two bands talked about the direction of the band's music. SLASH believes that GNR is a rock band, while Axl Rose wants to develop into electronic music with GNR. After a series of meetings and heated discussions, SLASH quit the GNR band in October 1996, while the band's name still retained Rose. SLASH did not hide at home and worry about it. On the contrary, he was busy with his Blues Ball band. The band played mostly blues, so they were able to jump straight into jazz. From the end of 1996 to the fall of 1997, SLASH's Blue Ball band toured clubs in California and went deep into the south and north. But they soon retired temporarily or only performed occasionally, and you couldn't understand SLASH at all.

When SLASH left Guns N’ Roses, many of his fans, including the media, were wondering, with his talent and character, what would he do next? At first, people thought that the feud between Axl and SLASH was only temporary and would eventually be reconciled. SLASH also said that as long as Axl Rose takes the road of rock records, he is very willing to go back. As Rose filled out GNR with hired musicians and unknowns, SLASH made it clear that Snake's Den was his band forever. He said he could play occasional gigs or go on short tours with his original band, but he would never share the stage with the misnamed Guns N’ Roses.

As promised, SLASH is back with his Snake Den Band! He has more than 300 demos from musicians who want to join his band. He then identified Matt Laug (former member of the band Venice) as the drummer of his band; Johnny Griparic (former member of the SLASH’s Blues Ball band) as the bass player.

The first guitarist was Ryan Roxie, a member of Dad’s Porno Magazine and Alice Cooper. He participated in the recording of the early records, but later left to join other bands. SLASH then successfully hired the very good Keri Kelli as the band's second guitarist. The band's singer is newcomer Rod Jackson, from the Ragdoll band in Virginia. The band's new album was released in the United States on October 10, 2000. The lead song is the upbeat "Ain't Life Grand".

SLASH's Snake's Den began their tour in the northern United States, which greatly increased the band's exposure. After a successful tour in the Far East, Snake's Den embarked on a European tour in November of the same year. In February 2001, the band launched a club tour in the United States with good results. But by March 11, SLASH came down with the flu, and the remaining performances had to be cancelled. Subsequently, the band started another AC/DC performance in the United States in March, but SLASH's flu had turned into pneumonia. It's hard to imagine that such a vibrant person would now be struck down by the disease, but it didn't last long. In May 2001, SLASH recovered and began planning the next tour.

This time, SLASH does not view his current band and album the same way he viewed Snake Den. In the Snake Den band in 1995, he paid more attention to relaxing and enriching his time. The current band has gone through very careful planning and organization, but SLASH still continues his original rock-style music that fans love.

Soon, SLASH’s Snake Den band will release a new album. SLASH himself claims that the band is halfway through recording their new album, so they will soon be out on tour again. That way there will be more opportunities to meet fans and live music performances.

SLASH's life was once considered a sign of decadence in rock music, but he used his own way to make people give up this view. SLASH was once addicted to drugs, but has been sober for several years now. His extreme alcoholism is also well known, and he still smokes Marlboros and Galitanos.

Since SLASH fell in love with Renee Suran, his life began to undergo major changes. They got married on October 10, 1992 in Marina Del Ray, California. Renee did not join the rock band, but everyone knows that she is a beautiful and lovely girl who has always been deeply in love with SLASH. She loves her career as a model and actress. The couple also starred in Howard Stern's movie "Private Parts." But in the autumn of 1997, the two parted ways, but they remained friends.

After the divorce, SLASH ran to Las Vegas, where he met a young woman he had known for many years, her name was Perla Ferrer, and the two began dating frequently. Eventually they began living together, and soon fans could see Perla on Snake's Den tours, in clubs, and on television. This shows that Perla has a particularly important position for SLASH. In 2000, the two got engaged. The dazzling diamond ring worn by Perla was designed by SLASH himself.
