Management rights of Longfengshan Reservoir

Baxi (left bank) is surrounded by mountains and is the population of the reservoir area. It is connected with four flood sluices with a height of 8.3 meters and a width of 12 meters. European-style reservoir buildings are built on the slopes of Fengshan Mountain. At the east end of the dam (right bank) is the hydropower station, which is close to Longshan. It has been reinforced to prevent landslides, forming a gate-shaped channel 5 meters wide, 4 meters high and 98 meters long in the mountain. There are 12 peaks on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the highest one is 580 meters above sea level. The peak is on the west slope of Zhangguangcai Ridge in the Changbai Mountains. With Longfeng Lake as the center, Longshan Mountain and Fengshan Mountain face each other across the water. There is a legend that nine dragons pay homage to the phoenix. The peaks on both sides are steep and continuous, forming many deep bays. The forest coverage rate is more than 90%, and the forest trees are mainly pine, olive and poplar. Animals include spores, foxes, rabbits, etc. There are many wild mountain fruits, edible fungi, wild berries and medicinal materials in the mountains. The reservoir can irrigate 400,000 acres of grain fields, and the power station generates 13 million kWh of electricity annually. The annual output of fish is 100,000 catties. The project started in 1958. Completed in 1960, it now belongs to the Wuchang Longfengshan Reservoir Management Office. In 1993, it was approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level scenic spot.

The United Nations Atmospheric Observing Organization recognized the area as a pollution-free nature reserve and established an observation station in the reservoir area
