How do people live under Russian autocracy?

Russia's Far East is the easternmost part of Siberia it occupied. The Far East is vast and sparsely populated, so Russia must solve the problem of extreme shortage of local population and labor force in order to effectively rule this newly annexed land. To this end, Russia adopted measures such as immigration and punitive reclamation to increase the population and labor force in the Far East, so that the population and labor force in the Far East increased, and Russia gradually realized effective control over the region. However, Russia's eastward expansion is a violent and brutal colonial process.
