Can I submit all kinds of notarized documents when applying for a F2A visa in the United States?

Yes, it needs to be submitted at the time of face-to-face, and then the embassy will hand over the materials to the US Immigration Service for further processing.

F2A visa process is as follows:

Step one:

U.S. citizens should submit the I- 130 form to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Office in their residential area. If American applicants have lived in China for more than six months, they can submit their applications to the immigration offices in Beijing and Guangzhou according to the jurisdiction of their residence.

Step two:

If the application is submitted in the United States, the approved I- 130 will be sent directly to the National Visa Center (NVC) and then to the US Consulate General in Guangzhou. The time from the visa center to Guangzhou is about 3-4 months. However, due to the clearance procedures of China Customs, there will be some delays.

Note: After receiving the application fee, NVC will mail the immigration instructions (including the form DS-230 PDF) to the visa applicant. Please fill in the form according to the instructions and send it back to NVC together with the required materials. The faster the forms and related materials are submitted, the faster the visa applicant's application will be processed.

If the visa applicant's I- 130 is submitted in China, the visa applicant's immigration application will be sent directly to the Guangzhou Consulate instead of to NVC. Upon receipt of the documents, Guangzhou Consulate will send an explanatory package to the beneficiary of the visa applicant.

Step 3:

After receiving the file, Guangzhou Consulate will first review the file to ensure that the applicant's information is complete. If the materials are missing, the Guangzhou Consulate will send the beneficiary an explanatory package. After confirming that the materials are complete, the Guangzhou Consulate will arrange an interview for the applicant. The treatment time is about 2-4 months.

Step 4:

After determining the interview date, the consulate will send an appointment package (also known as package No.4) to the applicant, explaining how to prepare the interview materials. Applicants need to go to the designated hospital (PDF) for physical examination before the interview.
