Zhou Chengguang, pen name Mengzhou, was born in Zibo, Shandong in 1959, and his ancestral home is Zaoqiang, Hebei.
He graduated from the fine arts major of Shandong Art Institute and the oil painting seminar of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1986, he has published fine art works in newspapers and periodicals across the country. In 1989, his oil paintings won awards in provincial and national exhibitions, and were awarded by Mr. Les Hyman of Canada, Mr. Boruzi of Italy, Mr. Dal and Yemen of Croatia, the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. , collected by people from Hong Kong and Taiwan. He is currently a Chinese contemporary artist, vice president of the China Culture and Art Association, a researcher at the China Academy of Art, and a specially appointed calligrapher and painter of the Ethiopian Embassy in China.
