The History and Culture of Huaidian Town

The place name of Huaidian is about 3000 years ago. According to the county records and other ancient documents, as early as the Western Zhou Dynasty, this is the capital of the ancient Xiangzi country on the west side of Huaidian Town. In the Spring and Autumn Period (Eastern Zhou Dynasty), it was annexed by the State of Lu (623 BC, Lu Xigong invaded in 17 years). During the period from the Three Kingdoms to the Jin Dynasty, Yuzhou Prefecture was established here. Jia Kui, the secretariat of Wei Yuzhou, was buried here after his death, and his tomb still exists.

Judy (Yongle), the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, ordered the Yellow River to be governed for decades, and the Yellow River gradually receded and became a desolate wasteland. Looking up while walking, I saw a large shade under a big locust tree and wanted to cool down below. When he came to a place not far from the locust tree, he saw many people enjoying the cool and resting under the tree. So, he quietly looked at people and trees, and his mind flashed with thoughts that touched CoCo Lee. Then, he immediately asked the chief to post a notice to inform the people that those who don't want to immigrate to Henan, please get married and have children next to the locust tree, and those who don't come to live will immigrate to Henan. When people learned the news, they all rushed to get married and have children, and lived by the locust tree to see who could run fast. The more people gathered, the more officials saw the number of people who immigrated to Henan, and ordered all the families under the locust tree to immigrate to Henan. Anyone who dares to disobey will be sent to prison. Then send troops to surround them and force them to move to Henan.

As a result, the people have no choice but to listen to the official assignment, with five households as one guarantee and ten households as one thing. Successive immigrants came to Henan and were assigned to settle down and cultivate the land. One of them came to Huaidian. When they arrived, they found it was desolate and there were no houses. Only a big pagoda tree grew on a high ground, and then they came to live under it. People who live here call this place Dahua Village to commemorate that they immigrated from under the big pagoda tree in Hongtong County, Shanxi Province.

Once upon a time, people rode horses, rode donkeys, drove cars, pushed carts, shouldered or sailed in rivers for long-distance travel or business. The water in front of Dahuai Village is the only way to the east-west direction and the key point to the north-south direction. There is Dahuai Village, where boatmen and businessmen carrying carts stop or stop. Then Dahuai Village has a port. With the increasing number of people coming and going in the port, some people build houses, open shops and open workshops. There are shops, shops, workshops and restaurants, and it becomes a market. After a long time, people coming and going are called Dahuizhuang Huaifang Store. Later, it was also called Huaidian for short, until today.
