On April 2 1947, iggy pop (iggy pop, formerly known as James Jewel Oldberg) was born in a small town in Detroit, Michigan, USA. His father is an English immigrant and his mother is a local. Under the influence of the "Door" band, Iggy and Ron Ashton of "Selected Minorities" formed a band called "Psychedelic Clowns". Iggy became the guitarist and lead singer of the new band, Ashton became the bass player, and soon Ashton's brother Scott became the drummer of the band. 1967 during Halloween, psychedelic clown released his first album. The punk wave in the late 1970s attracted iggy pop. 1977, Bowie and The Stooges came to Berlin to record the albums Idiot and Desire for Life, and Bowie became the keyboard player of the band. Among them, songs such as Nightclub, Passer-by and China Girl are known as The Stooges's Berlin Trilogy. These two popular albums unexpectedly became the highlight of his career. Idiot finally ranked 27th in the American list, while Lemons's best score was only over 40.

Soon, he began to change to hard rock, and punk rock was just emerging. Although 1978' s live album "TV Eye" was mediocre, it made him one of the first punk to set foot in hard rock.
