Immigrant life in Singapore: Is it valid for minors to sign contracts?
Minors include persons without capacity and persons with limited capacity. There are four situations in which a contract signed by a minor is valid:
First, the pure benefit contract and the gift-accepting contract signed by a person without capacity and a person with limited capacity have legal effect;
Second, contracts signed by persons with limited capacity are legally binding;
Third, the contract signed by a person without capacity is invalid;
Fourth, other contracts signed by persons with limited capacity belong to contracts with pending validity.
