Representative figures and introduction of jazz

Jazz is an American music art form, which originated from the African-American community in the south of the United States at the beginning of the 20th century, and it is a fusion of African and European music traditions. The West African origin of this style is obvious. It uses blue notes, call and response, improvisation, multi-rhythm, syncopation and ragtime's swing notes. [ 1]

From its early development to the present, jazz has also blended 19 with American pop music in the 20th century, which is based on European music tradition. Jazz was originally a West Coast slang with unknown origin. It was first used to refer to Chicago music in about 19 15. For the origin and history, see Jazz.

Since its birth in the early 20th century, jazz has developed into various sub-genres, ranging from southern New Orleans jazz in the early 19 10, big band style swing music in the1930s and1940s, and bebop jazz in the mid1940s.
