comment

It is the predecessor of the Dazhui chakra and is not regarded as a book. (Zhao Erxun: Review on the Publication of the Draft of Qing History)

The manuscript of history is not the final version. I hope people all over the country will give me some advice. Fortunately, don't write collations for future revisions. (Jin Liang: Proofreading the Draft of Qing History)

Although this book was compiled after the Revolution of 1911, the editor basically wrote the history of the Qing Dynasty from the standpoint of the Qing Dynasty. Due to the large number of people and insufficient mutual care, the manuscript was not carefully checked and revised after completion, and it was not carefully proofread when it was published. Therefore, the styles are different and the simplification is improper, so that mistakes in years, facts, names and places are often visible. (Zhonghua Book Company: Notes on the Publication of the Draft of Qing History)

Most of the editors are old people left over from the Qing Dynasty, and they have a heavy attachment to the Qing Dynasty. Therefore, there are many words in the book that oppose the revolution, vilify martyrs and praise the Qing Dynasty. Secondly, at that time, the archives of the Qing dynasty had not been cleaned up, and historians could only use the original archives according to the manuscripts and related historical records in the original National History Museum, which was of low value. (Dai Yi: "Draft of Qing History")
