Hainan's has dried up, but Vietnam still has some growth, but Mr. Wang's book does not write about Vietnam. According to Zhang Dexiang's research, some Vietnamese Huang Huali are very close to Huang Huali in appearance, and some of them are light yellow. Zhang Dexiang said that in ancient times, merchants had great conditions to go to Vietnam to purchase wood by land, which was more convenient than going to Hainan, and there was no division of administrative regions for the growth of plants, so it can be inferred that the wood in ancient Huang Huali, China probably came from Vietnam. Zhang Dexiang believes that rare and excellent Chinese classical furniture is loved by the world, not only because of wood, but also because we modern people should not fall into the mire of fetishism. To some extent, wood is only the carrier of furniture, which bears the woodworking culture of China for thousands of years. No matter which kind of wood is used properly, it can carry forward the excellent culture of ancient furniture in China. Zhang Dexiang believes that the ancient furniture in China will not decline because of the exhaustion of Huang Huali, and there will be more suitable substitutes to replace it.

Zhang Dexiang pointed out that if Huang Huali is gone, you can buy old mahogany. But collectors should be careful not to simply consider the material. For ancient furniture, the most important thing is artistry, and the craft determines the price. Don't buy it if the material is good and the craft is rough. You don't buy wood because you collect classical furniture. If you simply buy wood, you might as well use wooden boards directly. Zhang Dexiang also made an analogy, such as Chinese painting. The most important thing is how the painting is done, not whether the ink is expensive, whether the pen is good or not, and whether the paper is good or not.

Zhang Dexiang said: A small business suitcase needs more than 10,000 yuan of wood, patched together with small materials. Take a two-meter-long veneer as an example, it will cost100,000 to 200,000 yuan. A pair of old yellow gorgeous square ruler cabinets, if the whole board, will cost about 5 million yuan. However, old furniture can't be sold new, because new furniture can be priced, from wood to processing fees to profits, so the price is clearly marked on the market, but the new furniture is neat, suitable for new houses and convenient to buy; Old furniture needs appraisal skills, professional knowledge and special hobbies, so it is mostly used by people who make good use of it in ancient times. Zhang Dexiang pointed out that in fact, the gorgeous price of Lao Huang is far from being in place. The old price should be higher than the new furniture, and a zero price should be added on the basis of the same new furniture.
