Who can introduce Victoria Falls?

Victoria Falls Mosio Tunia/Victoria Falls is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe in southern Africa, at the junction of the middle and upper reaches of the Zambezi River. It is the largest waterfall in Africa, one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in the world and one of the most spectacular waterfalls. Located on the Zambezi River, it is more than two kilometers wide. The waterfall rushes into the basalt canyon, and the rainbow formed by water mist can be seen 20 kilometers away. Mosi-oa-tunra/Victoria Falls is called "Mosio-OA-Tunra" by Zambians and "Manguantonia" by Zimbabweans, both of which mean "rain and fog with thunderous sound" (or "thunderous smoke"). Few places on earth are so spectacular and daunting. Lu Lu, who once lived near the Tunia/Victoria Falls in Mosio, was afraid of the waterfall and never dared to go near it. Neighboring Tongans regard it as a sacred object and the rainbow as the incarnation of God: they hold a ceremony at the East Waterfall to slaughter black cattle as a sacrifice to God.

Looking forward a few hundred meters in the direction of the current, an iron bridge with a width of 150 meters crosses the river. This is the Victoria Falls Bridge. It records such a history: Livingstone's great "discovery" broke the quiet life of local residents. 1890, the British ruled Zimbabwe south of the Great Falls, and controlled Zambia on the north bank of the Great Falls four or five years later. The colonists began with "discovery" and then occupied, showing their true colors. From 1903 to 1905, the colonists built this road and railway bridge again, breaking through the moat formed by Zambezi River here, in an attempt to pave the way for Britain to realize colonial rule from Cairo to Cape Town.

The waterfall has a tragic beauty, which can give people a shock. Just 60 or 70 years after the completion of this bridge, earth-shaking changes have taken place on the north and south sides of the Great Waterfall: Devil Waterfall washed away the bad luck imposed on the African people by the colonists, horseshoe waterfall inspired the fighting morale of the African people, the roar of the main waterfall shattered the dream of colonialism, and the people on both sides of the Great Waterfall successively gained national independence and national liberation.
