Why are Germany and Turkey so close?

The rise of Germany is a very modern thing. Three hundred years ago, the Habsburg dynasty, which ruled the present German territory, bordered the Ottoman Empire, which ruled the present Turkish territory.

With the development of industrial revolution, compared with western European countries, the Ottoman Empire began to decline and its territory was gradually carved up. People of insight in China tried to introduce new industrial and military technologies from Europe, hoping to revive the country. At first, I was looking for the French, but the political situation in France was unstable and I couldn't take care of myself. The emerging German Prussia country has just completed the great cause of reunification, and the national situation is booming. Therefore, from the beginning of19th century, the Ottoman Empire constantly hired military officers from Germany as military advisers.

After World War I, many obvious geopolitical and military alliances became blurred with the emergence of emerging countries. Turkey was not involved in the war during World War II, but after the war it fell to the United States to fight against the Soviet Union, then joined NATO and rejoined Germany. Turks certainly played an important role in rebuilding the German labor force, but the reason why these workers finally tried to stay in Germany may be related to the influence of German history on Turkey.
