In 1958, Guixian County and Guiping County jointly built Dakai Reservoir, dammed the outlet of Malay River and collected 427 square kilometers of rainfall in Longshan Basin. The reservoir is 3 kilometers long from north to south, 3 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 8 square kilometers and a storage capacity of 4 million cubic meters, which is more than three times that of the West Lake in Hangzhou. It is the second largest reservoir in Guangxi, and irrigates 45, mu of fertile land in 8 towns and villages in Gangbei District of Guigang City, including Qingfeng, Dawei, Gangcheng, Wule and Baisha, Shilong, Houlu and Mengwei in Guiping City.
The water in Dakai Reservoir mainly comes from the Malay River, which is clean and suitable for all kinds of fish. Three years ago, we tried to release 2, whitebait in Dianchi Lake, Kunming. This kind of fish is ginseng in water, but it is spoiled and can only grow in a completely pollution-free lake. In the past two years, people have fished up more than 3 tons once.
