1. Occupational categories assessed by the Australian Institute of Engineers:

professional engineer

Education requirements: Australia or equivalent to Australia 16 formal education (including 4 years of engineering undergraduate).

Engineering and technical experts

Education requirements: Australia or equivalent to Australia 15 formal education (including 3 years of engineering and technical education).

Engineering assistant

Education requirements: Australia or equivalent to Australia 14 formal education (including 2 years of engineering higher education).

Engineering manager

Education requirements: Bachelor degree or above.

Work experience requirements: 5 years or above senior management experience.

2. Language requirements of the Australian Institute of Engineers:

The IELTS score is not less than 6 points in each course, and the validity period is 2 years. The original transcript is required to be sent directly to the evaluation institution from the IELTS test center. Applicants whose mother tongue is English or who have obtained an Australian bachelor's degree in engineering or an Australian doctor's degree can be exempted from the IELTS score requirement.

3. Australian Institute of Engineers' requirements for work experience

The Australian Institute of Engineers first pays attention to whether the applicant's academic background meets the requirements of the nominated occupation, and there is no clear requirement for work experience, that is, as long as the courses they study meet the requirements of the nominated occupation, they can apply for relevant vocational evaluation. However, for ordinary skilled immigrant applicants, it takes at least one year of relevant work experience to meet the basic requirements of visa application.
