How to handle Uruguayan immigration and its process

To apply for permanent residency in Uruguay, you need to submit the following documents:

1. birth certificate, and certified by the local (or nearby) Uruguayan consulate.

2. Marriage certificate (if any), and certified by the local (or nearby) Uruguayan consulate.

4. If you are a minor, you can apply alone or with one of your parents.

5. Notarial certificate with no criminal record issued by the public security organ of the applicant's birthplace, and certified by the local (or nearby) Uruguayan consulate.

6. Notarial certificate of no criminal record issued by the public security organ of the country where the applicant has lived for more than 5 years (for more than 2 years, each country must provide it) and certified by the local (or nearby) Uruguayan consulate.

7. If the applicant has a criminal record, it is required to provide a certificate of completion of sentence, which shall be certified by the local Uruguayan consulate.

The health certificate required by the Uruguayan Immigration Bureau is tested by the institution designated by Uruguay.

The property requirements for applying for the right of abode in Uruguay are as follows:

At least $6,000 in local bank deposits in Uruguay, and proof that the applicant's annual income is not less than $6,000.

Once the application is accepted, the applicant can travel to Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay visa-free with the supporting documents issued by the Uruguayan authorities.
