Where does Changfu Village belong?
Changfu Village was originally a small mountain village deep in Badu, Huanlin, Yiwu. The village had a population of about a hundred households, and the village was quiet and peaceful where chickens and dogs could hear each other. During the Anti-Japanese War, Yiwu's famous anti-Japanese guerrilla group, the Jianyong Brigade, was stationed in Changfu Village. The people of Changfu were tough and brave. In order to protect the anti-war officers and soldiers, their houses were burned and their food was robbed. But they were undaunted and stood up to fight the enemy time and time again. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the Jianyong Brigade evacuated Changfu, and Changfu returned to its previous tranquility. Due to its geographical location, the village's economy is very weak, and its main sideline business is fishing for tofu skin.
In 1975, the country's agriculture imitated Dazhai, and Yiwu also developed water conservancy projects, spending a lot of manpower and financial resources to build the Badu Reservoir. Changfu Village responded to the government's call and moved to the foot of Phoenix Mountain in Badu. After several years of hard work, they rebuilt their home. However, due to the deepening of reform and opening up in Yiwu and the sharp increase in the immigrant population, the water shortage problem in Yiwu has become increasingly apparent. Therefore, it is imperative to expand the capacity of Badu Reservoir. The Changfu had to face another move. This time the move was no longer from the mountain to the foot of the mountain, but from Haolin to Suxi in one go. Although Changfu Village is a small mountain village in the mountains, it has had a good habit of studying since ancient times, so there are many educated people in the village. Although it has been relocated repeatedly, the villagers do not have much objection for the sake of the overall situation.
Yesterday: Covered in mud on rainy days, covered in soil on sunny days
This time, the relocation site "Monk Fan" in Changfu Village is composed of land that cannot be cultivated in surrounding villages. There is no grass growing on Huangni Slope, and there are no houses for miles around. The edge of "Monk's Fan" is densely covered with tea mountains. On a sunny day, the wind blows and the loess flies; on a rainy day, it is muddy, and the yellow mud sticks to the soles of the shoes and cannot be shaken off. However, the villagers of Changfu did not complain too much. With a small amount of relocation and resettlement subsidies, they resolutely walked out of the mountains where their ancestors had lived for generations and took a step toward the towns with their feet still wet with the dew of the mountains.
In 1995, they dug the ground for the "Monk Fan". In the past, farmers in mountainous areas had very meager incomes and basically had no savings, and the resettlement subsidy was simply not enough to build a house. Under this situation, the two village committees discussed and studied, and through many small and large meetings with party members and village representatives At the meeting, a village plan was formulated that was in line with the actual situation of the village, and houses were built in accordance with the plan through self-reliance and self-raised funds. Badu is 13 kilometers away from Suxi. Every morning, the villagers take cold meals and dry food and walk for several hours to build houses in Suxi, and then walk back at night. After more than a year of hardship, the hard-working Changfu people managed to stand up in the mud with their own hands. Since the expansion of the reservoir capacity is imminent, those who have no time to build or have not built it can only make do with a simple tent set up on Huangni Slope.
In the late 1990s, through everyone's efforts, the house was basically completed. But the tall ones are tall and the short ones are short. They are uneven. The exterior walls are basically all red bricks. Various tents were put up in front and behind the house. Firewood, wood and even perforated boards brought from Badu were piled up on the roads and paths, and sewage flowed across the roads. On the vacant land beside the village, the villagers used fences, stones, and bricks to form vegetable plots. Not only was the situation messy, but they often clashed over trivial matters in the fields. The lower part of the loess slope of the original "Monk's Farm" formed a pit during the construction process. In daily life, the villagers threw all their garbage into it for convenience. It used to be thrown by the villagers of their own village. With the rapid economic development of Yiwu, Suxi was planned as Yibei Industrial Zone. Large factories appeared around Changfu Village. Their village also became a village in the garden and an industrial park. In the garbage village in the park, all garbage from the park is thrown into the village. In summer, mosquitoes and flies breed in the pits, fly in the village, and there is a stench everywhere in the village. Everyone passing by must cover their noses. The roads in the village are all made of yellow mud. Coupled with the random discharge of sewage by the villagers, it is muddy all year round. On rainy days, you are covered with mud, on sunny days, you are covered with dirt. This is the most appropriate description of Changfu Village in the past. Due to the poor environment in the village, people working in the surrounding industrial parks would rather rent houses in other villages than live in the nearby Changfu. The villagers still have to live a tight life because they have no money to pay for their houses.
Today: Blooming flowers and green willows
In 2001, Yiwu City began its urban-rural integrated transformation. However, the reputation of "dirty", "chaotic" and "poor" makes Changfu Village unable to even be nominated in the government's list. In 2005, a new village leader took office. The village secretary and director are people who have seen the world, and they are worried about the current situation in the village. There was no item listed in the town, so they convened the two village committees and villager representatives to hold a mobilization meeting and decided to carry out the urban-rural integration project themselves. After six meetings, it finally gained the support of the vast majority of villagers. Therefore, in the second half of 2005, Changfu Village established an "urban-rural integration leadership team" on its own, with the village party secretary as the team leader, the village committee director as the deputy team leader, and two village-appointed members. They put down the business at hand, focused on village affairs, and started the construction of a new rural area in Changfu Village.
“If you want to be rich, build roads first”, this is an eternal truth. They first opened the interface with Provincial Highway 37, which is only 200 meters away from the village, allowing villagers and pedestrians to enter and exit unimpeded. Then there is the hardening of the road surface in the village. To build a road, the illegal structures must first be demolished. When you encounter a nail-biting household, you should be moved by emotion and understand it by reason. "In one household, I made seven trips to dismantle a tent. I was determined not to be rough. This is the principle of our work." Secretary Luo Meixi said. After hard work, all the illegal structures of more than a dozen households in the village were demolished, which convinced the villagers of the ability and determination of the two village committees to solve the problem. Twenty-one roads in the village have been 100% hardened, and the villagers are finally out of the mud.
"To be tidy, first 'get dressed'". The houses in the village are all the same as they were ten years ago. They are of different heights and disorganized. They are far different from the surrounding high-rise buildings. The two committees of the village decided to implement the "clothing and hats" project for the houses in the village. The village will fund the uniform exterior wall painting, and mobilize the villagers to build the houses to a uniform height, so as to give people a holistic feeling in appearance. . Nowadays, the houses in Changfu Village are all five-story and uniform.
Near Changfu Village, there are tourist attractions such as Wanyaobei Kiln Site Group, Jiang Zhongling’s former residence, His Highness Zhicheng Hall, Daijing Hall, Fanjia Hall Residential House, Sande Hall, Jinhua Ham, Yiwu Brown Sugar, Yiwu ham, Yiwu Danxi wine, golden amber candied dates and other specialties.
