Can new Hong Kong immigrants immigrate back to the Mainland without Hong Kong status?

According to Article 3 of the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, dual citizenship of China citizens is not recognized. Article 13 stipulates that foreign citizens who once held China nationality are allowed to apply for the restoration of China nationality on just and reasonable grounds. But at the same time, other foreign nationalities may not be retained.

Applicants who have obtained Hong Kong resident identity cards for Hong Kong investment immigrants can apply for Hong Kong permanent identity cards and obtain Hong Kong home visit cards, home visit cards and passports after seven years, but they must cancel their domestic identity cards and household registration books.
