Luotian County belongs to Huanggang City, Hubei Province, which is located in the northeast of Hubei Province, at the southern foot of Dabie Mountain and adjacent to the east. Yingshan, with Xishui in the south, Tuanfeng and Macheng in the west and Jinzhai County in the north, is a famous "hometown of chestnut, sericulture, sweet persimmon and poria cocos" in China.

Luotian was established as early as four years in the Southern Liang Dynasty (AD 523), with a history of 1490 years. It is a veritable "Millennium ancient county".
