Can civil servants be rural hukou?

Legal analysis: it can be a rural hukou. Under normal circumstances, villagers can continue to retain rural hukou after obtaining civil servants.

Legal basis: Article 23 of the Civil Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC). If there are clear requirements for household registration when recruiting civil servants, or other policies and regulations have clear provisions on this, villagers should move their household registration from rural areas to cities after obtaining civil servants.
