In Yan 'an, there is the earliest revolutionary memorial hall in China, which is now a national first-class museum.

I think everyone who comes to Yan 'an can't help reciting the poem "How many dreams come back to Yan 'an, holding Baota shan in both hands". The poet He Jingzhi's Back to Yan 'an is like a thousand-year echo, which vividly describes the poet's yearning for Yan 'an, his joy when he returned to Yan 'an, his excitement when he saw the changes in Yan 'an, and his prospect for the future.

Indeed, Yan 'an is a complex that history cannot circumvent. After Qin Shihuang unified the six countries, Meng Tian attacked Xiongnu in the north and built the Great Wall and the first expressway in history-Qin Zhi Road. Emperor Liu Che of the Han Dynasty immigrated here to develop production. History favors Yan 'an, and the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties have left a lot of historical information here.

What touched the historical nerve most in Yan 'an was 1935, after the Red Army of Workers and Peasants arrived in Wuqi, northern Shaanxi. 1937, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China entered Yan 'an. Now, the seven former sites, the meeting place of Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art, and the caves where Chairman Mao, Commander-in-Chief Zhu, Premier Zhou and others lived are amazing. In Zaoyuan, the military and civilian mass production movement was carried out in depth, and preparations were made for the Seventh National Congress, leading the whole country to win an all-round victory in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Under the light of Zaoyuan, Chairman Mao wrote more than 20 articles guiding China's revolution, which became our inexhaustible spiritual wealth.

As the first batch of famous historical and cultural cities in China, the word "Yan 'an" has become a cultural symbol, a cultural gene rooted in the spirit of China people and a spiritual symbol of China revolution.

Today, let's talk about Yan 'an's symbolic cultural symbol-Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall.

1950 In July, less than one year after the founding of New China, the Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall began to build. It is one of the earliest revolutionary memorial halls in China. The museum was first located in the former site of the communication office of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region in Nanguan, Yan' an. /kloc-moved to the foothills of Fenghuang Mountain in the spring of 0/956, and 1973 moved to Wang Jiaping. During the Cultural Revolution, the name of the museum changed frequently. 198 1 resumed. From June 5th, 2008 to October, 2006/kloc-0, the new Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall was started in Wang Jiaping, north of Yan 'an. In August 2009, it was officially completed and opened for business.

Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall covers an area of 238 mu, with a main building area of about 29,900 square meters, a square area of 38,000 square meters and a green area of about 40,000 square meters. The memorial hall faces south, surrounded by mountains and facing Yanhe River. In the overall layout, guided by the Rainbow Bridge, from south to north along the axis, it is divided into three parts: memorial square, memorial building and memorial park. On the square stands a bronze statue of Mao Zedong with a height of 16, which is a statue of workers, peasants and soldiers from all walks of life in the pre-Yan 'an period. The whole building is a symbolic cultural building in Yan 'an, which is surrounded by mountains and waters and has a magnificent momentum.

Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall has more than 35,000 cultural relics, 30,000 books1.30,000 historical photos1.80,000 other materials 100, covering the whole history of the revolution led by the Central Committee in Yan 'an and the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region in 13. The exhibition area of the memorial hall is 10677 square meters, with more than 260 revolutionary historical relics/kloc-0 and more than 670 historical photos. The basic exhibition is divided into six units: the foothold of the Red Army's Long March, the political command center of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the model experimental area of new democracy, the birthplace of Yan 'an spirit, the establishment of Mao Zedong Thought's command position in the whole party and the starting point of winning national victory. Through a large number of precious cultural relics, historical photos and paintings, sculptures, scene restoration, multimedia demonstrations and other modern means, the whole exhibition embodies the organic unity of ideology, artistry and appreciation, and enhances the attraction and appeal to the audience. It is an important classroom for Yan 'an spiritual education, patriotism education and revolutionary tradition education. This exhibition won the "Special Award of the Ninth (2009~20 10) Top Ten National Museums".

Over the years, Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall has also been responsible for the management and opening of the former revolutionary sites such as Wang Jiaping, Yang Jialing, Zaoyuan and Fenghuang Mountain. Since 20 10, the relevant former sites have been managed independently, and the former sites of Wang Jiaping and Nanniwan Revolution are now managed by Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall.

Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall is one of the "Hundred Patriotism Education Demonstration Bases" determined by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and National Tourism Administration, and it is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. In March 2008, it was open to the public free of charge. In May of the same year, Yan 'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall was awarded the first batch of national first-class museums by National Cultural Heritage Administration.
