According to historical records, from the seventh year of Chenghua (147 1) to Guangxu (* *), eight mosques were built in Xindu, mostly by Hui immigrants from Shaanxi, Gansu, Hunan and Guangdong. Only two or three mosques such as Xindu Mosque have survived to this day. Xindu Mosque was built in the 26th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1900), formerly known as Yizhen Temple. There is a gold tablet in the 28th year of Guangxu and a stone tablet in the 2nd year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty (19 10). During the Cultural Revolution, Yizhen Temple was destroyed. After bringing order out of chaos, with the care of the county government and the strong support of Muslims in the county, with the help of Nie Tie and the funding of the government, it was restored on February, 2007 1987 and renamed as "Xindu Mosque", costing more than 60,000 yuan.

The newly-built Xindu Temple is simple and elegant, belonging to a hanging mountain building. The construction area of the main hall is 1.80 square meters, and the whole temple covers an area of 1.2 mu. There are cattle and sheep slaughter shops, Muslim restaurants and Muslim tea gardens in the temple. There are 248 parishioners, 822 of whom are honored as Gedimu.

Since 1990, Muslims from Nepal, India, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania and other countries have come to worship.
