Introduction of scenic spots

Hukou Waterfall is a national scenic spot and a national AAAAA tourist attraction. It borders Hukou Town, Jixian County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province in the east and Hukou Town, Yichuan County, Yan 'an City, Shaanxi Province in the west. It is a tourist attraction of the two provinces. It is the second largest waterfall in China and the largest yellow waterfall in the world. The Yellow River flows here, with steep stone walls on both sides and narrow estuaries like Hukou, hence the name Hukou Waterfall.

Hukou Waterfall is very spectacular. The yellow water poured down, the torrent surged, the turbid waves rolled, the water splashed, the smoke was misty, the waves roared, and the sound shook for miles. The height of the waterfall can reach15-20m in dry season and 45m in summer and autumn. During the flood, the torrent rolled and gushed out of the deep valley, and the waterfall became a torrent and disappeared. The river flows down the deep valley for 5 kilometers, which is Mengmen. After leaving Mengmen, the water surface widened, the water potential slowed down, and it returned to the scene above the Dragon King.

Xi 'an-Hukou goes to road trip.

There is a special bus from Xi 'an to Hukou at Xi 'an Textile City Bus Station, which runs twice a day at 8: 00 am and 13:20 pm, with a total length of 350 kilometers and a journey of about 4 hours. The whole fare is about 97.5 yuan.

Linfen-Hukou self-help tour

From Linfen City, drive along Lin Ji Expressway to Jixian County for about100km, and then drive for 45km to Hukou Town, that is, to Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area. The whole journey takes about 1.5 hours.

(1) Underwater smog

When the Yellow River enters the hukou, the turbulent flow falls rapidly, and the water mist aroused rises into the air, and the steaming clouds meet the sky, like the billowing smoke from the bottom of the water, which can be seen from more than ten miles away.

The fog at hukou is related to season and flow. In winter, the river freezes, the waterfalls are mostly ice, and the surface water is reduced. The flow at the spout is reduced to 150-500 cubic meters per second, and the water flows downwards, with little spray and water mist flying out of the tank. In summer, the flow rate increases greatly, the water overflows the deep trough, the drop is very small, the waterfall disappears, and it is not easy to form dense water mist to rise to the sky; In spring and autumn, the flow is moderate, the temperature is not high, the waterfall falls more than 20 meters, and the rapids splash, forming a fog that diffuses in the air, that is, the scene of "underwater smoking".

(2) Play with neon lights

The water mist formed by the repeated impact of Hukou Waterfall rises into the air, which refracts sunlight to form a rainbow. The rainbow is sometimes inserted into the water from the sky in an arc, like a long dragon absorbing water; Sometimes a straight ribbon crosses the water, like a colorful bridge flying frame, and sometimes flowers appear in thick smoke, colorful, erratic and confusing, which is a great wonder of the world.

Neon frolicking in the water is the product of the interaction between "underwater smoke" and sunlight. In spring and autumn, there is smoke at the bottom of the water and dense fog hangs high. Every sunny day, oblique sunlight often forms a rainbow. After the rainy days in summer, sometimes rainbows appear.

(3) The ice peak is upside down

In the dead of winter, the dragon trough is frozen, and the water column formed by turbulence on both sides of the river is like ice peaks of different sizes hanging upside down on the cliff. The rainbow floats in and out, and the colorful colors are set off by crystals, which makes tourists sigh the magic of nature.

(4) Thunder in dry days

The Yellow River passes through the valley, and the surging waves are like hordes, roaring and shaking the valley. The waterfall flies down, hitting rocks and water repeatedly, producing a huge sound, which reverberates in the valley, just like gongs and drums, thunder in dry days, and the sound reaches more than ten miles away. Only near Hukou Waterfall can you really feel the "Yellow River Roar" and "Yellow River Roar", which is very spectacular.
