Notarization of passport for return to China (Singaporean citizen)

Materials required:

If China citizens want to return their China passports to obtain Singaporean citizenship, they must personally apply to the Embassy and submit the following materials:

1. Fill in the Application Form for Notarization and Certification truthfully item by item 1 copy (please click the download form for the download form column).

2. Fill in the Application for Refusal of China Passport 1 copy truthfully (provided by the Embassy).

3. Original passport and its copy [information page, extension and annotation page (no need to copy if there is no content)].

4. The original and photocopy of the naturalization approval issued by the Singapore Immigration Bureau;

5. Original and photocopy of Singapore residence permit (PR, NRIC or SCC, etc.). If the holder of the permanent residence permit expires, a re-entry permit is required).

6. 1 photo (black and white, color is acceptable).

7. If the applicant has obtained a Singapore passport, the original and photocopy of the Singapore passport are also required.

8. It takes 4 working days to apply for a permit, and there is no need to rush it.

Note: Changing nationality is a serious legal act. If you want to restore China nationality after joining a foreign nationality, you must go through the necessary legal procedures in accordance with the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China.

Time and cost required to apply for a permit:

1, 4 working days for normal parts, and the cost is S $30. It takes 2 working days to speed up the work, and an extra urgent fee of S $35 is paid.

2. When obtaining evidence, please go to window 1 and pay the fee (cash only), and go to window 2 to obtain evidence with the receipt.

Tips for Former Singaporean China Citizens to Cancel their Accounts;

According to the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, the Passport Law of the People's Republic of China and the regulations on household registration, China does not recognize that China citizens have dual nationality. Former China citizens who have acquired or joined foreign nationality according to law and no longer have China nationality according to law no longer hold China passports or retain their original permanent residence in China.
