(1) The guarantor must be an American citizen living in the United States (including territories and possessions) or a legal permanent resident of the United States, and at least 18 years old;
(2) The annual income of the guarantor within the validity period of the economic guarantee shall not be less than 125% of the federal poverty line income. Its calculation method is the sum of the number of guarantor families plus the number of insured, and the percentage compared with the poverty line income of the same number of families stipulated by the federal government.
(3) The guarantor shall bear all legal economic responsibilities for the relatives who apply to immigrate to the United States, including the insured, federal, state or local governments and other organizations that provide poverty alleviation.
(4) When it is known that the guarantor accepts the poor public welfare, the government organization or other relevant institutions that provide the welfare may require the guarantor to repay or force the repayment of the welfare. The guarantor must agree to obey the judicial decisions of the federal or state courts on relevant legal proceedings. The legal prosecution is valid for 10 years.
(5) Anyone other than the relatives of the guarantor is allowed to jointly or independently guarantee, but any economic guarantor must meet the above requirements.
