After the film was released in China on July 10, 2015 in the form of 2D, 3D and Chinese giant screens, it immediately aroused the popularity of netizens and audiences and extensive media coverage with its excellent reputation. "People's Daily" believes that the film is a rare phenomenon-level work in Chinese animated films in the past ten years.

In 2015, the film won the Best Art Film Award at the 30th China Film Golden Rooster Awards and the Outstanding Feature Film Award at the 16th China Film Huabiao Awards. On August 6, 2016, the film ranked 16th in the list of top 50 films announced by the 20th Huading Awards Organizing Committee.
