Historical overview of Leizhou area

Due to historical origin and geographical relationship, Leizhou has historically become the intersection of Chu-Yue culture, indigenous culture, Minnan immigrant culture, marine culture and Central Plains culture, and gradually formed a unique Leizhou culture.

Leizhou has a long history, a long history and rich historical and cultural heritage. It is the only "Chinese historical and cultural city" in western Guangdong.

Archaeological data confirmed that Leizhou was inhabited by human beings at least 5000 years ago. At this time, Leizhou has jurisdiction over Haikang County, Suixi County, xuwen county and Guangzhou Bay Port (now Zhanjiang City).
