After the restoration of the former site of the Middle East Revolution, it has now become an educational base for Huizhou's party history, patriotism, youth and party member.

Zhongdong Village: Zhongdong Village belongs to Gaotan Town, Huidong County, located at the junction of five counties (Hai (Feng) Lu (Feng) Hui (Dong) Zi (Jin) Wu (Hua), away from Huidong County 1 12km, 45km from Haifeng County and 50km from Zijin County. Zhongdong Village has a total area of 22.07 square kilometers and a total population of about 890 people. Zhongdong Village is known as the "Red Capital of Dongjiang" in the history of Dongjiang Revolution. Today, the Bai Qing Building, where the Dongjiang Special Committee, Dongjiang Revolutionary Committee and the headquarters of the Red Second Division are rebuilt, looks solemn and majestic. It is the seat of the earliest district-level Soviet government in China.
