Brief introduction of the buttonwood agreement

1653, a group of Dutch immigrants were busy erecting a row of wooden walls as high as 12 feet near the southern tip of Manhattan Island in new york City to protect themselves from Indian and British attacks and harassment. Thirty-two years later, a group of surveyors drew a white line along this row of wooden walls, built a street and named it WallStreet.
