Colin Luther Powell 1937 was born in new york, USA on April 5th. His parents are Jamaican immigrants, his father is a porter and his mother is a sewing worker. Powell spent his college time in City University of new york, and obtained a bachelor's degree in geography in 1958. During my study at school, I joined the reserve officer training team and was awarded the rank of second lieutenant after graduation. After completing the basic training of an infantry officer, he was sent to Germany and promoted to lieutenant. Subsequently, he was sent to Denvins, Massachusetts, Campbell, Kentucky, Leavenworth, Kansas and Carson, Colorado.

From 1962 to 1969, Powell was sent to Vietnam twice to participate in the war. 1969 After returning from Vietnam, he entered George Washington University and graduated with an MBA in 197 1. Powell is the first black man to hold this post in American history and the youngest chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
