The Yang family generals and Dai County?

Dai County is a place where the well-known Yang family generals stationed for a long time when guarding the border and where their descendants have always settled. The Yang family would guard Daizhou and defend the northern border when the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) was established. From generation to generation, many famous military generals were produced who defended the country and became well-known in Chinese history. Yang Zhongwu Temple, the ancestral temple of the Yang family, is located in Lutijian Village, 20 kilometers east of the city. It has a history of more than 700 years. This ancestral hall faces north and south, and there are 23 steps in front of the ancestral door. Under the steps, a pair of stone lions stand majestically on the left and right, and a pair of flagpoles tower into the sky. There are also two thick ancient locust trees, whose crowns cover the sky and the sun, and are lush and green. An altar is built against the wall in the hall, with statues of Yang Ye and Taijun She in the middle, and colorful sculptures of the Eight Sons on both sides. The east, west, and south sides are sculpted with famous generals of the Yang family, all of them lifelike and majestic. The walls of the east and west wings of the courtyard are painted with murals of the Yang family generals who heroically killed the enemy and defended their country. There are full-body statues of female generals of the Yang family on the ground, vividly showing the heroic demeanor of the Yang family generals.
