Exclusion, just a minority.

In China, cross-regional and class discrimination has a long history, and there is no possibility to alleviate it in the short term. The root of regional discrimination is either blind arrogance or ignorance. We are all people with normal intelligence and similar looks, and will not be different because of the difference of household registration location and the split of urban-rural dual structure. Especially in an immigrant city like Beijing, with a large influx of migrants, various regional cultures and living habits collide, and misunderstandings are inevitable. With the passage of time, they will move towards reconciliation and integration in constant exchanges and exchanges, and the culture of the new city will gradually take shape. After living in Beijing for a long time, you will find that the so-called "exclusion phenomenon" is actually aimed at the so-called "excluded people" with relatively low personal quality, and even involves illegal acts. Generally speaking, xenophobia is a minority, xenophobia is also a minority, and xenophobia is just a statement. In other words, it may be that these excluded people are not welcome anywhere.

Contradictions are inevitable

Of course, those indigenous people who lack competitiveness will face the unfavorable situation of relatively backward economic and social status, but they mistakenly blame this situation on the "rice bowl" of migrant workers. Migrant workers often mistakenly think that those poor old Beijingers can't keep up with the pace of society because they have a strong sense of self-superiority and are too lazy to suffer. But the truth of the matter is by no means that simple.

Passive adaptation or active participation?

Unlike hard-working foreigners who come to Beijing to work hard, it is an active choice. Many old Beijingers are actually passively adapting to this fast-moving city. Like most people in our hometown, they don't really want much wealth and power, but just want a quiet life. This attitude towards life was not right or wrong, but it was shattered by the agglomeration effect of population and the rapid development of cities. People who can't adapt will inevitably start to resent the swarming strangers, especially the low-end laborers engaged in basic service industries.

Take the express delivery industry as an example. Why do Beijing locals seldom work as couriers? To put it bluntly, it is because I am too tired. Just like driving a taxi, I don't have any technical content. I earn hard money mainly by working hard. At present, most taxi drivers in Beijing are farmers in suburban counties, and the original citizens have gradually withdrawn. In this industry where competition and incentives drive down prices, the unit labor remuneration of couriers is very low. If you want to make more money, Dora must run fast. Therefore, many couriers get up early and are greedy for the dark, overworked, and riding electric express cars on the road is also very fast. It is common to run the red light and walk backwards, especially in the areas with dense express delivery companies in the urban-rural fringe. Choice under division of labor

If we say that in order to get more income, we have to squeeze ourselves uncontrollably, then I want to say that patience and hard work are by no means the virtue of the Chinese nation, but a shame. Because if you are overworked for a living, it means that your work reward is seriously devalued and your labor value is not respected, which is certainly not what a normal society should have. It can't be blamed that the aborigines are unwilling to do this kind of work. People still have to pay attention to personal values, and they will not be slaves to companies and jobs like you foreigners. This kind of self-squeezing by outsiders without a bottom line cannot bring about the realization of self-goals, because once the lower limit is broken, there must be no lower limit, and many new Beijingers who have worked hard in Beijing for many years are still struggling for survival.

In the final analysis, it is the lack of a fair and just employment environment to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers in our society, which makes the value of workers generally depreciate. If workers can't get proper returns, they will have no time to spend, because limited time is devoted to low-return jobs; There must be no money to spend, because all the hard money must be used to maintain a minimum survival. Such social reality makes stimulating consumption and stimulating domestic demand an empty talk.

When will you stop cursing from a distance?

In the past two years, whenever you encounter topics related to real life, such as smog, traffic congestion, high housing prices, difficulty in going to school, and difficulty in seeking medical treatment, you can see some low-level Beijingers and foreigners swearing at each other. It is often the problem that Beijingers dislike the influx of foreigners. If they think Beijing is not good, you foreigners will get out of Beijing, but ignore the contribution made by foreigners to the development of the city where we live together, and are not prepared to accept that everyone is from Beijing.

In fact, as the bottom, why bother the bottom. Whether it is aborigines or migrant workers, what everyone needs most is mutual understanding and respect. If everything between the bottom and classes is constantly pinching each other instead of helping each other and uniting for their due rights, this society will never be fair and just, and the mutual harm between the bottom and the bottom will never stop.
