The location advantage is obvious. It is 0/2.5km away from the urban area/kloc-0, bordering Luojiang Town and Beiwai Town in the east, separated from Shuanglong Town in the south, connected to Xincun Village in the west and adjacent to Pujia and Wei Xing Town in the north. Hunan-Chongqing Railway runs through the whole territory, and there are trunk highways in Fu Wei with convenient transportation. With the completion and opening of the second phase of 20 16 Dazhou Ring Road, the traffic advantage of Dongyue will be further enhanced.

The industrial structure is reasonable. There are five industrial bases of vegetables, fruits, livestock and poultry, aquatic products and flowers in the township, which is the main base of agricultural and sideline products in Dazhou City. The planting industry has begun to take shape, especially the "Tongchuan Pear Orange" (orange) demonstration area in Fenghuang Village, the vegetable production base in Qiaoshan Village, the ornamental leisure areas such as osmanthus fragrans, Chinese rose, ancient heaped wintersweet and big orchid in Hongqiao Community, and the ancient, rare and bonsai green seedling planting areas as "radiation sources" for industrial development. Develop 2000 mu of "Tongchuan pear orange" (citrus) demonstration area, 600 mu of flower and seedling base, 200 mu of out-of-season vegetables, and gradually occupy the market in Dazhou and surrounding cities. The aquaculture industry has gradually grown, with 8 professional farming villages (communities) and 75 large farming households. Xiangnong bean paste industry leader, with an annual processing capacity of more than 2,000 tons, is exported to Chengdu and other places.

The industrial development momentum is strong. Key projects such as Guodian Dazhou Power Plant, Jinhong Industry, Shenyu Doors and Windows and other industrial enterprises have successively settled in Dongyue Town, and the stamina for economic development has been continuously enhanced. At present, the total annual industrial output value of the town has reached nearly 200 million yuan. With the accelerated construction of industrial clusters in Fu Wei, the industry and logistics economy of Dongyue Town will be further developed.

The infrastructure is complete. In recent years, Dongyue Town has continuously improved its infrastructure in accordance with the overall plan of coordinating urban and rural development. At present, the built-up area of the town is 1.2 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 8,000. There are 1 central schools (including 6 junior high schools) and 6 small villages. There are 1 health center, 8 cooperative medical stations and 5 rural bookstores. Rural passenger stations are completed, water supply facilities in towns and villages are complete, and civil natural gas is delivered to households. The construction of this town has been accelerated. There are four residential quarters with beautiful environment, such as Sunshine Garden Community, Happiness Community and Phoenix Victims Resettlement Community, which broaden the access of Happiness Road, Fenghuang Road Street and Fu Wei Road in the town, and the residents' living and travel conditions are more superior. Rural infrastructure has been continuously strengthened, 90% of the village roads in the town have been hardened, and rural roads such as East Xu Lu, Donglian Road, Yangfei Road and Dongmo Road have been interconnected. The maintenance and renovation of more than 20 ponds in Qiao Shan, Fenghuang, Yuzhong and Jin Fei villages have been completed, and more than 300 biogas digesters have been built, which has significantly improved the production and living conditions in rural areas.
