During the Spring Festival, I usually go back to my father-in-law's house on the second day of the Lunar New Year. On New Year's Day, you should pay a New Year call in your own home and kowtow to your elders. Now the custom of kowtowing has been basically abolished.

For rural people, there are still many traditional customs and patterns to celebrate the New Year, which continues the ancient rural New Year greetings. In other words, people must kowtow to congratulate others on a happy New Year. However, many people in rural areas continue to send their son-in-law to their daughter-in-law's house for New Year's greetings. In fact, this way of greeting the New Year is just different from place to place.

In fact, for the definition of a year, the general time is from New Year's Day to the fifth day. After the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, the countryside began to do farm work, such as handyman. However, from the first day of the first lunar month to the fifth lunar month, rural areas cannot do farm work or use other machines or farm tools. In the meantime, they must have a good rest and eat well. Moreover, from the New Year's Day to the fifth day, they will not go far. This is also the reason why migrant workers go out to work at present. Generally speaking, they start to go out to work after the sixth day of a month. Many factories, mines, shops and hotels opened on and after the 6th of this month.

However, in order to show that the family relationship is closer and more important, people generally choose to visit their daughter-in-law on the next day, then their daughter-in-law stays at her mother's house for a few days before going home, and then return to her husband's house after the fifth day. These customs are very unique in rural areas. Of course, if you can't go to the second day, you can also choose the second and third days, at least before the fifth day, you can go to your daughter-in-law's house to pay New Year greetings. No one was surprised.
