How to build a fully automatic mechanical chemical plant for the survival of Mars

When the player's fleet landed on the surface of Mars for the first time, all the resources that could be collected were fully automatic and mechanized. The types of collection points that mechanical chemical plants can complete are: concrete, water and oxygen, and water and oxygen are used to supply the living environment of the dome, which will be described in the colonial chapter.

Taking the specific resource point mining in the above figure as an example, it is necessary to ensure the normal working range of the artificial-unmanned aerial vehicle: the signal range of the unmanned aerial vehicle support platform (RCROVER) or the unmanned aerial vehicle control station (the blue area in the above figure) covers the resource point.

Open the building menu (press B or click the building option in the lower left corner to open), select the concrete excavation station in the production sub-item, and adjust the building position to be determined. The total amount of resources that can be collected due to different building locations will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. Click the mouse wheel to rotate the construction direction of facilities (applicable to all facilities).

Adjust the building location appropriately to maximize the total number of concrete resource points.

After the concrete excavation station is completed, it needs to provide energy for the normal operation of the factory. In the power sub-item of the building menu, select generators and batteries to build around the excavation station.

As shown in the above figure, the author built two kinds of generators for the excavation station, one is wind power generation, and the other is solar panels. Different types of generators will be restricted by environmental changes under different conditions, so at least two energy supply facilities need to be considered when supplying energy.

After the construction of power supply and electricity storage facilities is completed, select wires in the power sub-item of the construction menu, click on one facility first, and then click on the extended wires in another facility to complete the connection of power supply and electricity utilization facilities. A plurality of power supply devices can be connected in series, and power supply and power consumption facilities can also be connected in parallel, and switching devices that can be manually switched are arranged on parallel lines according to preferences, so that the power storage facilities will not be charged and discharged at the same time, and the number of power storage devices can be reduced.

After all the facilities are connected by wires, the concrete excavation site will start uninterrupted automatic production, and it is necessary to set up a resource storage area and a waste rock accumulation area near the excavation site, as shown in the above figure.

The resource point collection field will continue to run until the resource store is full or all resources in the collection point are exhausted. Players can also manually choose to stop \ start the automatic factory.
