In response, Singapore announced that it would ban people from South Korea, Italy and Iran from entering or transiting the country from March 5th.

The Singapore Inter-departmental Working Group announced on March 3rd that from March 4th at 1 1 59, all passengers who have been to Iran, northern Italy and South Korea in the past 14 days will not be allowed to enter or transit Singapore.

From now on, Singapore will also suspend the issuance of various new licenses to Iranian passport holders, and the short-term visas and multiple-entry visas previously issued will also be temporarily invalid. The Working Group also calls on China people to avoid going to Iran, northern Italy, Japan and South Korea unless it is necessary.

In addition, starting from 0: 59 pm on March 4th, Singaporean citizens, permanent residents and long-term permit holders who have been to Iran, northern Italy and South Korea within 1 14 days will be notified to go home after returning to their new places. They must stay at home 14 days and can't go out.

All people with respiratory symptoms or fever will be tested by COVID-19 at the immigration office, and the test results will be announced within 3 to 6 hours. After the test, people should avoid close contact with others. Those who test positive will be immediately transferred to the hospital for isolation treatment by ambulance.

Passports, visas and completed entry and exit cards must be presented to the officials of Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Bureau when entering the country (the entry and exit cards are in triplicate, and the two on the left are entry cards, which will be taken away when entering the country; On the right is the exit card, commonly known as the "white card", which is one of the documents for legal entry. Please take good care of it so that it can be returned when you leave the country.

At the entry-exit checkpoint, together with the officials, stamp the passport with the entry stamp of "allowed to stay for XX days", hand over the passport and exit card to the passengers, and then go through the entry formalities. It is possible to check the authenticity of tourists' new trips with immigration officials. It is recommended to prepare the return ticket order and enough cash or other materials that can prove the ability to pay during the trip for future reference.
