Study abroad experts explain how to apply for transfer in Malaysia
With the increasing number of students studying in Malaysia, more and more Chinese students are consulting us about some of our policies and methods for transferring schools in Malaysia. As Malaysia’s free service platform for Chinese students and various Malaysian universities As partners of large universities, we have the responsibility and obligation to help more Chinese students re-choose their favorite schools and majors. For this reason, GED Global Education has specially made the following local transfer procedures in Malaysia, hoping to provide Chinese students who want to transfer with more help.
Step 1. Prepare materials
First of all, prepare the materials for applying to a Malaysian school in China for the first time, including transcripts of domestic academic qualifications and notarized certificates of graduation certificates, and the entire Copy of passport, 8 passport-sized photos, and if you are applying for a master's degree, a resume and proof of work experience are also required. Secondly, go to the international student office of the current school and issue all transcripts and certificates from the current school. Because transferring schools requires resubmitting materials for a visa, and changing the visa from the original school to a visa from the new school, all these materials need to be stamped by the original school and signed by the person in charge, including: every page of transcripts and certificates All have the school's seal and signature. The school's seal and the signature of the person in charge are on the first page of the passport and the valid visa page.
Step 2. Select a school
For students who have graduated from the original school, in order to choose a school for further study, you can ask more about which schools have your favorite majors. For details, please refer to /mlxy, or you can consult Eastern Students and GED Global Education. For those students who relied on unscrupulous intermediaries for incorrect guidance and did not get the true situation of the school and professional courses before coming, and then transferred to another school after coming, they should choose a new school based on their own requirements and professional interests.
Step 3. Apply for a new school
(1) For students who have decided which new school to apply to, or have settled on 1-2 schools, prepare Prepare all the required materials and then contact our staff, the national free consultation hotline 4007-333-007 or log in
(2) GED Global Education and Eastern Students provide the following services for transfer students:
p>
For students near Kuala Lumpur, we will have special vehicles to pick them up;
Students who live far away can make an appointment to meet at a larger shopping mall or bus station, and we will drive them You go to school.
(3) After students visit the new school and are satisfied with the environment and courses of the new school, they can leave your application materials and pay the application fee required to apply for the school for the first time ( The application fee is different for each school).
Step 4. Notice and withdrawal letter
The only thing left is to get the notification letter from the new school and go to the original school to get the withdrawal letter. Generally, after students submit application materials and pay the application fee to the new school, they can get the notification letter on the same day or the next day. If they cannot get the notification letter on the same day, our staff will go to the new school to help you the next day. Get it and send it to your original school, and take you to the international office to hand in your notification letter and your passport. Because you are transferring out of school, your original school will submit your passport to the Immigration Bureau and shorten your current visa to about 2-4 weeks (this visa shortening process takes about 2 weeks). After that, the school will Give you your passport and the withdrawal letter from the school. After getting these two things, our staff will take you to the new school. In addition to handing in these two materials, you also need to write a letter to the Immigration Bureau explaining why you want to transfer (for example, the original school did not The major you want to study, etc.).
After the new school receives these materials from you, plus the application materials stamped with the official seal of the previous school and the signature of the person in charge, it will get a new visa from the Immigration Bureau for you. The transfer process ends here. If the new school starts classes during this transfer process, students can continue with their transfer process while taking classes first.
Note: Because students’ applications now have to go through the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the Ministry of Higher Education will mainly check the students’ attendance and transcripts. If a student's attendance rate is less than 70% or his test scores are too poor (for example, he failed 7 or 8 out of 10 subjects), the Ministry of Higher Education will consider rejecting the student's transfer. Then students can only go back to their original school and wait until their grades and attendance meet standards before considering transferring.
Liu Wei, director of Oriental Students Study Abroad in Malaysia, said: First, many students have not chosen a suitable school for themselves in China, and second, they are introduced to schools that are not suitable for them by some unprofessional agents. As a result, some students have to transfer schools. Nowadays, a small number of Malaysian intermediaries blindly process transfers for the purpose of transferring students, regardless of the actual situation of the students, resulting in many students not being able to obtain certification of their final diplomas. I hope that the majority of students can clearly understand their learning goals and properly handle their reading problems.
GED Global Education Managing Director Zhang Junjie said that in order to allow students to better find a school that suits them, if we find a better school, we can also arrange for students to visit the new school.
Therefore, GED Global Education and the Malaysian Oriental Students Study Abroad Center jointly launched logistics services for studying abroad in Malaysia. It is the first institution in China to launch zero-intermediary and free logistics services. Martin, the general person in charge of logistics, believes that doing a good job for each of our own students is our essential job; professionalism, integrity, efficiency, and enthusiasm are the mottos of our daily work, so that every student who handles our affairs can enjoy VIP treatment.
