Can I take the college entrance examination in Tibet after my household registration has moved?

1. Cadres (including cadres who aid Tibet), employees, urban residents and children of farmers and herdsmen in our region can apply for higher education in and outside the region as long as their household registration is in Tibet.

2. After the cadres and workers who have worked in our region leave Tibet, if their children are registered in Tibet, they can apply for colleges and universities inside and outside the region.

3. According to the Notice of the General Office of the Xizang Autonomous Region Municipal Government on Forwarding the Provisions of the Public Security Department of the Autonomous Region on Reforming the Household Registration Management System and Relaxing the Household Registration Conditions in our Region (No.82 [200 1], hereinafter referred to as Document No.82), the household registration of the children of professional and technical personnel or managers above the intermediate level employed by the organs and institutions in our region has been in Tibet for more than 1 year (last July, 36544).

4. According to the investment policy of the people's government of the autonomous region and the relevant provisions of Document No.82, operators who have been engaged in industrial and commercial registration for more than three years (including three years) in our region, whose children have moved to Tibet for more than three years (including three years) according to the relevant provisions, and have a high school student status in Tibet for more than one year (including one year) may apply for higher education in and outside the region.

5. The children of official cadres and employees of offices and units in the mainland approved by the people's government of the autonomous region and relevant functional departments of the government, who have household registration in Tibet, may apply for higher education institutions inside and outside the region. Children of official cadres and workers of Golmud Office of the People's Government of the Autonomous Region and Tibet Institute for Nationalities may apply for higher education inside and outside the region.

6. Non-lineal relatives of cadres, workers, urban residents, farmers and herdsmen in our region, according to the relevant regulations on household registration management in Xizang Autonomous Region, meet the relevant household conditions, have moved to Tibet for more than three years (including three years), have a three-year complete student status in Tibet (studying in Tibet for grades one to three), and can apply for higher education institutions in the region or non-key higher education institutions outside the region.
