The origin of white people?

Native Americans are Indians and Eskimos. Most white people are descended from European immigrants.

According to the 2004 US Census data:

Americans are of German descent, accounting for 15.2%.

Followed by Irish, accounting for10.8%;

African descent ranked third, accounting for 8.8%.

In addition, among the top ten lineages of Americans are: British, 8.7%; Mexican, 6.5%; Italian, 5.8%; Polish descent, 3.2%; French, 3%; American Indians, 2.8%; Scots, 1.7%.

Among the American population, there are 235.99 million whites, accounting for 80.4% of the total population of the country.
