Where are the nirvana of Jiangzuo, Jiangdong and Jiangxi?
There is no doubt that the river in these places is the Yangtze River. In ancient history, basically all the place names or allusions about rivers refer to the Yangtze River and the Yellow River refers to the Yellow River. Both of them are the most important water sources in China, and Jiangzuo means Jiangdong. But if this is the only geographical calculation, it is actually somewhat inappropriate, because from the southern point of view, Jiangxi is on the left side of the Yangtze River, which contradicts the name Jiangdong. In fact, the ancients were generally in the right and west of Zuo Dong, and things and left and right were interchangeable.
From another point of view, the ancient economic development center was mainly in the Central Plains, and the imperial power was concentrated in the Central Plains, which is now Shandong, Henan and other places. From this point of view, the left side of the Yangtze River corresponds to the East, so Jiangzuo becomes Jiangdong. Moreover, since ancient times, the Yangtze River has had ferries in the south of the Yangtze River from the Central Plains to the present Wanjiang River, so this place is also called Jiangdong. It was originally the hometown of Xiang Yu, which is roughly today's Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.
After the Three Kingdoms period, China's culture and economy were the most prosperous in Jiangdong, but after the Tang Dynasty, the economic center changed to Jiangnan. But this division in Jiangdong lasted for a long time for historical reasons. For example, the road east of Jiangnan in Song Dynasty was called Jiangdong, and jiangning house was also responsible for Jiangnan in Anhui and southern Jiangsu. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Jiangyou was the leader of Chu and the leader of Wu, so it was called the head of Chu and Wu Wei. Now Anhui is exactly the same.
During the Northern Song Dynasty, Jiangnan Road was divided into east and west parts. During the Northern Song Dynasty, most of Jiangxi belonged to Jiangnan West Road. Jiangxi is the primary area where people began to move south after the overload in the Central Plains. In order to avoid the war in the Central Plains, the Jingkang period in the Northern Song Dynasty was a small peak period when a person moved south. Because of this, Jiangxi is also the most developed cultural and economic place in China at a certain stage, which has escaped most of the wars and got a chance to recuperate. After the Yuan Dynasty, Jiangxi and Jiangyou were the present Jiangxi area.
