How to apply for a long-term residence permit in Finland

■ Finnish long-term residence permit (international students) Foreign students who have been admitted to Finnish educational institutions need to apply for a long-term residence permit if they have studied in Finland for more than 3 months.

If the applicant needs to take the entrance examination to be admitted to Finnish educational institutions, he must apply for a visa first.

The first application for a long-term residence permit should be submitted at the Finnish Embassy or Consulate General in China (non-China citizens who hold a valid residence permit in China can apply in China).

The applicant shall submit the following materials:

(1) Complete and signed application form in duplicate, and two recent standard passport photos (bareheaded front, light background, size 47mm? 36 mm)

(2) Copy of valid passport and passport identity page.

(3) The original and 1 copy of the admission notice of Finnish educational institutions.

(4) Birth certificate

5] If the applicant is a student at school or a newly graduated student, a notarial certificate with the highest academic qualifications must be attached.

(7) A bank deposit certificate of 6,000 euros or 7,500 dollars issued in the name of the applicant must be updated once a year during the applicant's stay in Finland.
